The proposed boundary changes for the northwest area would impact:
- Copper Canyon elementary School
- Sunset Ridge Middle School
- West Hills Middle School
- Elk Ridge Middle School
- Copper Hills High School
- Bingham High School
- West Jordan High School
The boundary change would:
- Move middle school students in AREA 1, bounded by 6600 South, 5600 West, 7520 South, the power lines, 7000 South, and Mountain View Corridor, from Sunset Ridge Middle School to West Hills Middle School.
- Move middle school students in AREA 2, bounded by Old Bingham Highway, 9000 South, and Mountain View Corridor, from West Hills Middle School to Elk Ridge Middle School.
- Move high school students in AREA 2 from Copper Hills High School to Bingham High School.
- Move high school students in AREA C, from 9000 South to the South Jordan/West Jordan City line, and 3200 West to 4000 West, from West Jordan High School to Bingham High School.
This boundary change would have the following impacts and benefits:
- Enrollment between Sunset Ridge and West Hills Middle Schools would be balanced.
- Elk Ridge Middle School students would all go to Bingham High School.
- Students attending Copper Canyon Elementary School would be split between West Hills and Elk Ridge Middle Schools. Copper Canyon students that live in the Sunset Ridge Middle School boundary would continue to Sunset Ridge.
- If your school boundary changes, you have the option to stay at your current school; however, you will be responsible for providing your own transportation. For example, current West Hills students whose boundary changes may continue at West Hills, but would be assigned to Bingham boundary for high school. After leaving West Hills, these students could apply for a permit, through the established process, to attend a different high school.

Este cambio de límite propuesto implicaría:
- Trasladar a los estudiantes de secundaria del ÁREA 1 de la Escuela Intermedia Sunset Ridge a la Escuela Intermedia West Hills.
- Trasladar a los estudiantes de secundaria del ÁREA 2 de la Escuela Intermedia West Hills a la Escuela Intermedia Elk Ridge.
